Unsigned Vintage Costume Jewelry – Bargain Beauties

May 27 2009 Published by under Earrings-Screw on, Unsigned, Vintage Jewelry

Yes you read me right, Bargain Beauties.

If  you had two pieces of identical costume jewelry, but one was marked Trifari or Haskell on the back, which do you think would sell for more?

The Signed Piece.

The Ironic thing is , that sometimes the two identical pieces were made by the same company  but sold to a department store as Their Brand.

Sort of like,  XXX  Bread  and the store brand. Bothe are made in the same plant , except one get the stop and Shop Label , the othere get the   Name Brand.

SO, next time you see a pin , necklace or Ring that you like, and It’s not signed. Examine it for quality and Buy it if you love  it.

Once again, Copper Jewelry just takes my breath away.

Copper & enamel jewelry was very popular as  DYI in Homes in the 1940′s and 1950′s.

Families would buy craft kits & apply enamel onto copper.  And of course , thousand were probably made at camp
Amazing colorful items were produced.

This unique tie clip is signed “wally”
