Actually 5 days without internet was relaxing even with 5 girls ( 10-14 ) Every one behaved and we had great fun.
I Long for Filemaker Pro to organize my inventory & life.
It’s like I saw a infocomercial, the way I feel about Filemaker Pro.
I am convinced that it will help me get my inventory( finally) organized.
I downloaded a trial of it in October & really loved it, but couldn”t spend the $250 plus on it. So I searched for a lower cost alternative and I found a free one but it was just too complicated for me. (lol)
Then I tried a inventory program specific for Antiques & Collectibles- but it was almost as pricey as Filemaker but not as smooth..
And now , I crave Filemaker Pro.
SO, Is it worth it?? Or should I just use a excel spreadsheet to inventory my Jewelry?

Today , I felt like I was in a Apple vs Pc commercial.
I brought my car into the Mini dealership to get it’s 12,000 mile tune-up. Since the dealership is a bit away from my home, I stay there and do work. I take my Toshiba Laptop aka PC to take advantge of the Wi Fi there.
Here comes my Apple vs PC commercial Moment.
My computer wouldn’t load fully. As I waited for Mozilla to load, a hip woman with red hair, High Black boots holding a what looked like a carrot juice smoothie, sat down and opened up her Mac ( apple) and started typing away.
Twenty minutes later , I am still waiting for Mozilla or anything else to load while she was still typing away. And I waited and waited for my computer to load.
A young family came in and while we were chit chatting , the husband mentioned a great free program to get rid of malware , which we decide was the problem with my computer,
I came home and my husband did some magic and finally got it to start, load and work. ( he spent about 45 minutes, so I know it wasn’t something easy or obvious to fix).
I downloaded Malwarebytes and it found 6 Trojans on my computer .
I highly recommend it and It’s free!

I know in four years, I ‘ll be laughing about this and moaning about the high cost of college. But thanks for helping me get through this week. One week at a time .:)
Surviving My daughter’s Freshman year at High School.
Help ! I need Help!
My daughter grades have dropped since she got to High School.
I understand that it this a different environment, coming from a small charter school to a big Urban School.
She did great at the Charter School . And If you compare the State Test results for The Middle school in town vs the charter School. The Charter School Has higher scores.
So , why , Isn’t she doing well?
I know the first semester, she played Varsity Soccer and was overwhelmed.
Even though , she did do better in her Honor’s classes. Now, she has D’s in honor’s English & History and B & A’s in her other classes.
In this school the Honor’s tract is where you want t0 to be , and it’s where she want to be. She admits the non honor’s classes are too easy for her .
And maybe we dropped the ball, by not insisting she show us her work every night.
She is going to meet with her english & history teacher’s each week , which should help.
So what do we do? How do we help her? ?
